During National Nurses Week with Helena Faustin, RN., – there will be many events to honor the contributions of all nurses during these challenging times. But it’s also important to recognize that Black nurses are more likely than their white counterparts to be on the frontlines of the pandemic, leaving them physically, mentally and emotionally drained after each shift. That’s why a special campaign has been created to recognize the stressors Black nurses are facing and that is committed to helping relieve those stressors. On May 9th, we have an interview with Helena Faustin, RN., a registered nurse, cookbook author and the founder of the blog: #ThatNurseCanCook. Helena is teaming up with BAND-AID® Brand to recognize the contributions of Black nurses and promote the BAND-AID® Brand OURTONE™ Nurses Recharge Fund for the National Black Nurses Association. Nurse Helena will also share how OURTONE™ adhesive bandages come in shades of brown that embrace the beauty of diverse skin tones.
